Hexaplex trunculus in warm and acidified conditions

This scan was performed for the assesment of the effects of climate change and ocean acidification on marine gastropods within the ECCO project (https://ecco.hcmr.gr/). Micro-CT was performed to Hexaplex trunculus gastropods which were maintained under low pH and increased temperature. For this specimen, no contrast agent was used. Scan was performed with a Skyscan 1172 at a voltage of 100kV and 100μΑ with an aluminium and copper filter for a half rotation of 180o . Images were acquired at a pixel size of 13.79μm with an exposure time of 2480ms. Specimen was provided and scanned by Eva Chatzinikolaou.
